I'm STILL dreaming about lions,,,,,,,,,,,

The Lion

From time to time in my life, I have dreams about wild animals. The animals see me and they begin to chase after me. I havent had one of these dreams in awhile. This week I have dreamed about wild animals on two different nights.
One night I dreamed I was walking outside with my little dog. It looked like we were walking on a golf course. All of the sudden, I see cows. I see alot of cows. The cows see me and my little dog and they start chasing us. I see a tree where I think I can climb up and get away from the cows. As I start climbing the tree, I see a big hole in the center of the tree and the hole is full of wasps? or hornets? Now we are being chased by the wasps! Then I woke up.
Last night I dreamed about a lion. I was in my house with my daughter. I could see the lion outside. The lion walked around my house, constantly watching me through the windows. At some point, I had to go outside. When I did go outside, of course the lion would chase me. There were times it got very close to catching me! One time I was in my living room and the lion was standing at the window looking in at us. Next thing I know, there was a pane of glass missing from the window. The lion's head was actually inside the house. I was scrambling around trying to do whatever necessary to keep that lion out of my house. Slowly the lion started creeping into the house.,,,,,, I started picking up chairs and boards and lamps and I was smashing all this stuff over the lions head. The lion kept coming anyway.
This dream was terrifying! I saw the lion's teeth up close! I saw the lion's huge gaping mouth up close! Very scary. When I woke up, The dream was still very vivid in my mind. and I thought of this verse of scripture:

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Thoughts of 911

My daughter was 9months old. I was off that day. My husband was a Deputy. That morning while driving home from work, he heard the news on the radio. He got home and he asked me if I had seen the news on TV. I said "No". He told me that a plane flew into the 1st tower. I thought it must've been a terrible accident. We turned on the TV just in time to see the plane fly into the 2nd tower. I got goosebumps. I knew then that THIS was NO ACCIDENT!! My husband said right then and there that "....this world would never be the same after today."

This weekend my daughter,,,,,, who btw is 10 years old now, asked me what 911 is all about. I said "You dont know? You havent learned about that in school?" She said "no". So I did my best to try and explain to her what happened that day. Her response to the whole thing was, "Wow!" Tonight we let her stay up a little later than usual and we let her watch a MEMORIAL Special on TV with us. It was good for us to watch it,,,,,It is GOOD for us to REMEMBER. We as AMERICANS were ATTACKED. May we NEVER forget what happened to us that day!

Today I had the opportunity to watch a couple movies I have been wanting to see.
I watched THE KING'S SPEECH
and now I am watching THE SOLOIST.

2 very good movies! ESPECIALLY, The King's Speech!!!!!!

The King's Speech won 7 British Academy Film Awards.
It won 4 Academy Awards.
I understand why.

I also watched Mildred Pierce with Joan Crawford 1945,,,,, It was pretty good.
I've watched 2 Humphery Bogart movies in 2 days,,,,,,Casablanca 1942 and Stand-In 1937.
I love old black and white movies,,,,I just dont get to see them very often.

we are in Florida this week. I am LOVING It!! We are spending most of our time at the pool or at the Beach!! I am getting to see lots of birds I don't normally get to see! LOTS of Pelicans!! Last night we drove to CoCoa Beach. Remember I Dream of Jeannie??? We went to Ron Jon. I have always wanted to go there, I have always wanted a Ron Jon Tshirt and we ALL got one!! :-) we brought along one of Robbins friends......they are having a BLAST!! They keep each other entertained!! I guess because Memorial Day hasn't hit yet, it is kind of quiet around here!! Right now, no one is at the pool but US!! And it was the same way yesterday!! I LOVE IT!!!!! Well let me go for now, I am ready to go jump in the pool. TO BE CONTINUED............

Look What I Found!!!

The other day on my day off, I found this moth! This is me holding the moth.
I was looking out my window,,,,,watching birds in the yard and I saw a mockingbird chasing something. But this "something" was pretty big and the mockingbird looked confused and a little scared! LOL
So I walked out into the yard and I found this moth! He was huge and he was just Beautiful!!
So I got my husband to come out and take a picture of me holding the moth.
Since then I have found out it is a Polyphemus Moth! It is named after the cyclops Polyphemus from Homer’s Odyssey for the startling eyespots on their hind wings.
It was a very windy day. The moth looked to be in pretty good shape,,,,,but then again I dont know. The mockingbird may have hurt him. He didnt really try to fly away. I took him to the back yard and found a nice safe spot on some jasmine and I put him there. I went back later and he was gone. So maybe he wasnt hurt.

Days Off

I really just dont know how to act!!
My daughter is in school.
My husband is in N.C. visiting a friend.
My #1 Goal was to get some major cleaning done.
I have accomplished quite a bit,,,,,,,still wish I had time to do MORE!
I really NEED a whole Month off!! LOL
It is just nice to be at home and not HAVE to go anywhere!
I take my daughter to school and I pick her up,,,,,,
thats about it! The rest of the time I am AT HOME!!
I stay up as late as I want to,,,,,I work around here when I want to,,,,,
I rest when I want to,,,,,I take a walk outside when I want to,,,,
I play on the computer when I want to,,,,,
I LOVE it!!!

I saw my FIRST HUMMINGBIRD of the year today!!!

Well, thats not EXACTLY true,,,,,,A few weeks ago, we were at my Husband's Aunt's House and I saw a couple while I was there.
So when we got home I said "OMG, I've GOT to get my Hummingbird Feeder out!!!"

So a couple days ago, my husband put the feeder up.
Today I am off and I got to see my First Hummingbird here at the house!!!
It was a female Ruby Throat.

Something You Just Don't See Everyday............

I am so sleepy,,,, I am about ready for bed!!!
But first I have to write about what I saw today!!!!
I saw two things today that you dont see everyday!
TWO RARE SIGHTINGS,,,,,,,,
We were on our way to Church and we went the same way we always go,,,,,
We always drive by this little pond. I always get to see Geese there.
Even today there was a pair of geese there at that pond. I was looking at them and Chris said "What in the world is that??" I looked in front of us and there was a huge bird flying across the road in front of us,,,,IT WAS AN EAGLE!!!! It flew across the road and landed up in a tree. Well, you know that was such a Thrill for me!!! Now I have seen THREE eagles since I have lived in Georgia! So Awesome! SO MAJESTIC! Such a TREAT FOR ME!!

So then we drove on,,,,,and we saw a white Lamborghini!!!
My husband and I were in shock!!
Those are TWO things you just dont see everyday,,,,,ESPECIALLY where we live!!!!

Prayer and Fasting

I have debated about writing about this,,,,
But I think it is time. On Sunday, Jan. 2 my husband and I ~~AND several members of our Church~~ Made the decision to go on a FAST.
It is something I have never done. and yet it IS Biblical!
To be honest, I really DIDNT WANT TO DO IT! I had NO Desire to do it!
But I was convicted,,,,I felt like I needed to. It was the right thing to do.
There is a "fast" called the Daniel Fast. Thats what my husband and I chose to do.
No Coke Zero's, No sweet tea, no meat, no processed foods,,,,,,,
I ate fruit and nuts and broth and fruit juice,,,,,,,,
I did it for 10 days. It is one of the hardest things I have ever done!
and I did it in a time period that was VERY Stressful: Lots of new things at work, Lots of different things at work.......new and exciting times, but also challenging times!
I guess the main thing that I learned from it is God is in Control! I couldnt have done it without HIS help! I feel closer to HIM than ever! and because my husband and I did it together, I feel closer to him than ever! During this fast, we had more compassion for each other, we were more loving, more caring, more giving than we usually are toward each other. and I hope and pray that doesnt end when the fast ends.
~~~Like I said, My fast ended after 10 days,,,,,,but my husband is still fasting.~~~

Jesus said in Matthew "....when you fast..." He didnt say "IF you fast"
In Matthew, Jesus told his Disciples ~~If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you can move mountains,,,,But he then says, However this kind of faith doesnt come except by prayer and FASTING.
We know from the Bible that Paul fasted.

A Trip to Remember

For my Birthday this year I got to go to Illinois to visit my Family!
We had a Wonderful Time!!

I have two younger sisters.
One sister was born on the same day as me,,,,,,only 3 years later.
So she turned 40 this year and for the first time in a LONG time,
we got to celebrate our Birthdays TOGETHER! That was NICE!

I got to meet my precious Nephew for the first time. He is only 3 months old and
such a Sweetie Pie!!! I didnt want to leave him!!

We all had a Christmas Celebration together! My MOM ALWAYS makes Birthdays and Holidays Special! She has always been GOOD at that! She had Birthday cakes for each of us,,,,,Well, for my sister she had Apple Turnovers. ~~My sister doesnt care for cake!~~ My husband's Birthday is Dec. 25th so she even had a Cake for HIM! We also had a Wonderful Christmas Dinner that week!

The first morning we were there, we woke up to a blanket of snow on the ground! I guess they got about 2 inches in all, but it blew and blew all day long and there were deep drifts of snow all around us! That was an answer to prayer,,,,,for my 9 year old daughter! LOL She played and played and played in it! She didnt care how cold it was !

I was so excited to get to see my Grandparents,,,,,Expecially my Grandma! She and I were always so close. I could talk to her about things when I felt like I couldnt talk to anyone else! Well, it was heartbreaking when I went to see her and I realized she didnt know who I was. My Mom left me there to visit with them while she went to do their grocery shopping. My Grandma sat there and talked to me. She was polite, she was hospitable, she was courteous.......But she didnt have a clue who I was. My Grandpa was glad to see me,,,,his face lit up when he saw that it was ME,,,,,,we said our "hello's", he hugged me and then he informed me he hadnt eaten anything yet so he went to the kitchen to eat. LOL I havent seen him in 2 years, but he had to go eat. LOL My Grandpa is 89 years old. My Grandma is 84 or 85. They looked good! But my Grandma kept talking about her house like it was a Nursing Home,,,,,,She says that Grandpa brought her there, she doesnt know why and he wasnt able to bring most of her stuff when he moved her in there! UGH! They have lived in that same house for over 60 years!
So sad. It hurts my heart.

On the way home, we had some drama on the plane! We were supposed to leave St. Louis Airport at 10:08am,,,,,a man gets on the plane and decides he has to go to the bathroom,,,,,,,We all sit there and wait on him,,,and we wait, and we wait. The stewardesses keep going back there to check on him. They keep making announcements that we cant leave until each passenger is in his/her seat. Finally the guy comes out of the bathroom,,,,,,some of the passengers applaud. LOL But he starts yelling "HARRASSMENT!!" The stewardesses cannot get him to calm down, so they call SECURITY. They ask him nicely to leave the plane and they tell him they will put him on the very next flight to Atlanta,,,,He says he isnt going anywhere! So they call the Police. The Police escort the man off the plane,,,,,,As we are headed to the runway, we see the man in handcuffs, getting into the Police vehicle. Remember, our flight was scheduled for 10:08,,,,,,we actually took off around 10:55!!
Even I watch enough news to know that you dont mess with Airline Stewardesses nowadays! and you definitely dont act like that with Airport Security,,,,,they dont play!

I LOVED spending time with my sisters!
I fell in LOVE with my New Nephew!!!
We had Great FOOD! We got to open Christmas presents early!
I got to see some snow!
It was a Great Trip! One we will remember for a Long time!!

Our friend, CHRIS CHAPPELL got a new heart today!
Yes, he had a heart transplant today.

I want everyone to know about it!
THE MORE PRAYERS, THE BETTER!

I hope and pray this will be the BEST CHRISTMAS GIFT EVER for him and his family!
I hope and pray there will be few complications, and as smooth a recovery as POSSIBLE!

WOW! I havent posted since October??
I cant believe it!!
We just stay busy, busy all the time!
Right now when I AM at home,,,,,we have been trying to do some cleaning.
Cleaning out closets, Bagging up stuff to give to charity.
I can only do a LITTLE bit at a time.

Only 4 more days and I will be headed to Illinois to spend some time with my family!
I cant wait! I will be glad to see everyone! But I will be ESPECIALLY Glad to meet my Nephew for the first time! He is 3 months old!
and I will be very glad to see my Grandparents!

Today was kind of rough at work,,,,
I dont remember having a day like that in a Long Long time!
Had 3 customers right in a row that had "issues" with Insurance.
One had bought glasses in AUG. and is just now realizing that she OVERpaid for those glasses. She felt like she shouldnt have had to pay any money out of pocket,,,,
***why did she wait till NOW to bring this up?***Anyway she was happy when she left***

#2,,,,Bought glasses in May,,,,,they are wondering why they had to pay so much,,,,Come to find out, they didnt even tell us at the time that they even had Vision Insurance,,,,,So yes, they did over pay! They paid full price and none of it was filed with INS.
***why did they wait till now to ask these questions??***Anyway, they were happy when they left***

#3,,,,Longtime Customer of ours. She can be very nice,,,,,UNTIL it's time to talk about MONEY! Then she turns into Mr. HYDE! She has bought from us before,,,,She has used her Vision Insurance with us before,,,,,when I told her the price, she had a STROKE! She said "I am not paying that!" I tried to explain that nothing had changed, same lens material, same copay,same benefit, same everything and thats about what she paid last time,,,, She said "I dont care! I am not paying that today!"
Funny thing is, I have been thru this before with her. She will go home and think about it, or talk to her husband and she will be back! She even wanted to know what the copay was for,,,,why she had to pay it and exactly what does it cover,,,,,IT's a COPAY! It's what HER Insurance Company charges HER!
***Sorry, she left upset! I have dealt with her before,,,,it is VERY HARD to EVER make her happy!***

anyway,,,,I had to RUN out of there and go pick up my daughter to get her to the school on time for her Christmas Program!!! I was WORN out!!! Totally Exhausted!!!!

I'm Tired

But those two words sum it all up for me right now,,,,
I'm Tired.
I dont mean that I necessarily need a nap. **allthough that would be nice**
I am just tired ALL OVER.
Mentally,
Physically,
Emotionally,,,,,,
My life is FULL and I am So BLESSED.
But I get tired sometimes.
It will pass, I will get over it.

What do I need? What do I want??
I dont know really.
I guess some days off,,,,,,Some REAL days off,,,,
No alarm clock, No schedule, No deadlines, Nothing that HAS to be done,,,,,,,
No stress, No pressure,
I would like TIME to slow down a bit!
But right now I see that as an "IMpossibility"

My husband told me I just need some vitamins.
so I DID start back on my Multi Vitamin,,,,,,,
But honestly, I think it goes deeper than that.

"...Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Matt. 11:28-30

Tonight at Church, My husband told a story about a child having a Birthday.
The father asked what would the child like to have for his Birthday?
The child said he wanted a "ball".
The father asked what kind of a ball?
The child said that depended on if the father would have time to play with him or not?
If the father would be able to play with him, he wanted a football. If not, he wanted a soccer ball.
The point is, the child really wasnt concerned about the "gift",,,,,,
he was more concerned with the "giver".
It made me think of my own daughter,,,,,,,,I have seen that so many times!
Like in my previous post, I am SURE my daughter REALLY didnt care about giving me a foot massage,,,,,but she wanted to spend TIME with me!
I know that SO many times, she doesnt care about helping me clean, or watching something on TV that I want to see,,,,,,but she wants to spend time with me.
So she'll do whatever I want to do!!

My daughter loves to read to me!!!
A couple of weeks ago she was reading CHARLOTTE'S WEB.
So one morning on the way to school she read to me.
OF COURSE, The part she read to me was when the stupid spider dies!!! UGH!!
Tears started streaming down my face,,,,,,She said "MOMMY!!"
I said "I am sorry, that part always makes me cry."

My Daughter

I read on FACEBOOK that this is National Daughter's Week,,,,,
I have been wanting to write about my daughter so this is PERFECT!

My daughter and I have SO MUCH FUN together!
Here I am 42 years old,,,,,I definitely do not "feel" my age!!!
Robbin makes me feel WAY Younger than 42!!

One night we were driving home from somewhere and Robbin said she wanted to hear some ROCK AND ROLL on the radio. So I changed the radio to a station I used to listen to. They were playing "The 80's At Eight". Well, that is PERFECT! That is some of my Favorite Music! Woo Hoo!
They played some Van Halen! Robbin rocked out on her "air" guitar! The next week she asked me again if we could put it on the Rock station. SO I did. We rocked out to ZZ TOPP! "Sharp Dressed Man"!! Awesome! I think my husband was a little jealous,,,,,,He asked me why she doesnt do things like that with him,,,,,LOL
Tonight, Robbin helped me fix supper. We ate and then we played Domino's,,,,,Just Robbin and Me! I kept complaining that my legs and feet hurt. I wanted to soak my feet. She came over and massaged my feet for me. I said, "Robbin, you dont have to do that." She said "I want to because you're my Mama." She said she knew I was hurting and she wanted to help me. That touched my heart!
Now we are sitting here watching TV together.
Robbin makes me laugh! We are so silly together!
This is my Beautiful Daughter. I love her with all my heart!

On Wednesday, October 6, 2010 the funeral procession for Senior Airman Michael John Buras of Fitzgerald will be traveling through Cordele. The procession will be transporting the fallen soldier to his final resting place in Andersonville.
The procession is expected to travel through Cordele between 1:45 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. The Cordele/ Crisp Chamber of Commerce asks that as many citizens as possible please line both sides of the street on Highway 280 (16th Avenue) displaying American Flags as the procession travels through.

Today is WED. I was off today.....
Chris and I drove to town ,,,,,We had to run some errands,,,,,
We didnt know about this "article" from yesterday's paper.
But as we drove through town we saw many, MANY people standing by the side of the road with American Flags,,,,
So we went on to the grocery store and walked to the edge of the road and asked what was going on?

This is one of the saddest things I have ever seen in my life!
My heart broke into a million pieces!
We stood there by the side of the road with our hands over our hearts,,,,,,,tears streamed down my face,,,,,
As the hearse drove by, I could see the coffin inside with the American Flag draped over it.
I almost wish I wouldnt have seen that,,,,,,that image will forever be etched in my mind.
But on the other hand, I am glad I saw it,,,,,,,
May we never forget,,,,,,,,,,
As sad as it was, I am thankful GOD put us in the right place at the right time,,,,,
I wouldnt have missed it for the world!!!

~~~There is another young soldier from Cordele,,,,,we got word yesterday that he stepped on a mine and he lost his legs,,,,
We heard today that he died. This is when War hits Home. He was 21 years old~~~

My Day Off

Today has been a FULL day for us,,,,

Last night we decided we would invite some friends over for dinner,,,,
So that meant Cleaning HOUSE most of today!

I got to sleep in a little bit,,,,which is always nice!
Rare, but Nice!

We got a phonecall from a dear friend and Church Member,,,,,
Today she was diagnosed with stage four lymphoma,,,,,
She starts chemo next week.
WHOA!
It was alot for us to take in all at once.
I can only imagine how it was for her and her family!

So anyway,,,,,we spent most of the day on the phone with other friends and Church Members.
Immediately we planned a Special Prayer Meeting at Church just for this friend and her family!
Our company came over, we all got in the van and drove to Church together!
We had a WONDERFUL time of prayer,,,,,
This is what a Church Family is all about!
Things like this only bring us closer together and closer to the Lord!

We are not going to be defeated.
We are going to Praise God in the good times and in the bad times!
Of course, That is easier said than done,,,,,,,

Remember this ad from when you were a kid?? I remember it from comic books!

A couple weeks ago we had Inventory at the Store and I didnt have to go in until 2:00.
I left my daughter a list of chores.
I told her if she completed the list, I would bring home a surprise!
I talked to my husband before I came home and my daughter DID do all her chores!
So I went to the TOY-Section to find her a "prize",,,,,
and I saw a kit to grow Sea Monkeys!
LOL
I couldnt resist! I knew it would be something she and I would both enjoy!

Right now, they are teeny teeny tiny,,,,But we can tell they are Growing!!!!!
I thought it was interesting, I read where they can grow to be about an inch long!
and they can live for "2 YEARS"!!!! OMG!
Sorry I dont see that happening with us!!!
I have also learned that you can invest alot of money in your Sea Monkeys!! LOL
They have all kinds of "STUFF" you can order!!!
~~~I dont think so~~~
Anyway, we've had FUN so far! and thats what I wanted! :-)

Days Off

Well, I've had a few days off in a row,,,,,
and we have been SOOO Busy!
But, Thats the way it goes!

One of my employees agreed to keep my daughter while we were away.
and then we got to talking and she offered to keep our puppy too!
I am SO Thankful!
Our neighbor who usually watches her for us went to the Beach for a few days.
So I didnt know who we would get to "babysit"......
We thought we would have to cancel our little trip!

We went to a Pastor and Pastor's Wives Orientation with The Ga Baptist Convention in ATLANTA.
We were there all day Thurs, had a Banquet that night,,,,,~~filet mignon, lobster stuffed sea bass, apple pork loin~~,,,,,,They treated us like royalty!
They paid for our Hotel!
Then the next day they took us to Coke World and we ate lunch at The Varsity!

Then we had to rush home, pick up our daughter and our puppy,,,
We had about an hour at home then we took our daughter to a "Lock In" at Church.
Then some friends of ours took us out to dinner!

A very busy couple of days,,,,,but very NICE! I know it sounds hectic,,,,
But it was relaxing for me!
No work, No computer,,,,,pretty much No cell phone!
WONDERFUL!

Today I got some housework done, I took an afternoon nap, and in a little while we
are going to take our daughter to a movie!

Life is such a JOY! I know it has its ups and downs,,,,
But as I get older and as I grow in Christ and our relationship grows closer and stronger,,,,,
I have less "downs" and more "ups"!!!!
and for that I am THANKFUL!

It has taken me a couple of weeks to post this,,,,
I just get "behind" on my Blogging!

A couple of weeks ago on our way to Church on a Sunday Morning,,,,,,
~~We have to drive across a bridge to get to Church~~
I usually drive every Sunday morning,,,,,,
So as we were crossing the bridge, I looked up and flying right up above us there was
AN EAGLE!!!!!

OMG! I almost burst into tears!

and of course, my husband didnt see it and so he acted like he didnt believe me.
He said it was probably a Buzzard!!
UGH!
He does that just to get under my skin!

But is was a Wonderful Moment in Time for me!
I have lived in GA for Fifteen Years and that is the second EAGLE I've seen!

I cant believe I havent written about this yet.....
The last three nights I worked, the guys were putting in new flooring.
This one guy reminded me of my brother in law. He even had a pony tail! He sounded like my brother in law, and he LOVED to talk!!
You could tell he would rather sit and talk than do the flooring,,,,,,LOL
Well, I found out right away that he is an artist! He told me LOTS of interesting stories!
He made a comment that he used to make good money doing what he does~~flooring, construction, etc,,,~~ until the economy went south,,,,,,he and his brother lost their homes, because of lack of work!
He told me how he put alot of of love and alot of his art in the home that he owned and lost! Each room had a Bible theme. It sounded AWESOME!
I said it sure was a shame he put all that work into that house and then lost it. He said "that just means GOD has other things for me to do" He had the greatest attitude, the greatest spirit!
The last night we were there together, he went out to his truck to get tools or something,,,,,,He came back with a painting FOR ME!!!!
I was in shock!
He told me all about the painting,,,,,There was a story behind the painting,,,,,,when he painted it, he was going through some things in his life~~Some things he knew GOD wanted him to do but he didnt understand why at the time. But then later on, it all made sense! There's lots of great symbolism in the painting!
I brought the painting home, my husband loved it! My husband even wanted to meet the guy!

Anyway,,,,the guy's name is David. I thanked him and thanked him for the painting! It is Amazing the people you meet in your life,,,,,,God always has a purpose and a plan! We dont meet people by accident! It's never just a coincidence!

I feel like a Zombie, So I guess it is only natural that I would dream about Zombies!

UGH! It is so hard to get back to "normal"!! On top of being OFF schedule,,,,,I have a head cold! Last night I was feeling pretty good! But today was bad,,,,,, This morning I took my daughter to school and then I came back home and watched some TV. I took some cold medicine. I went back to bed.
Let me say this,,,,,,I used to have really bad dreams,,,,,,,Crazy dreams! But that is part of my past, I really dont have those Crazy dreams anymore! BUT Sometimes if I take certain kinds of cold medicine, The kind that knocks me out, I will have really crazy dreams! and thats what happened to me today!!!
First I dreamed that my daughter was still a little baby. I went with my mother to pick her up at Daycare. We brought her home and I changed her diaper and "SURPRISE"~~~this baby was a BOY!!! OMG!!! I started screaming and crying,,,"this isnt my baby!!"
OK, That was a bad one,,,,,but I had another dream that was WORSE!
I was in a "desert town",,,,,Looked like something out of a movie,,,,,,Maybe a Mexican town. I was in a tiny building, Something I would call a "Cantina"....... All of the sudden, everyone around me started turning into Zombies and they started coming after me. The small little building was like a maze with no way out!! I kept hitting dead ends! Then at some point I finally made it outside,,,,I dont know if that was better or worse!!!! One of the weird things about this dream was it was totally QUIET! No sounds, no screaming, complete silence!!! There was all death all around me,blood, murder, mayhem,,,,,but it was like I was deaf, there were no sounds! That made it "creepier"! and it seemed like that dream would never end!! they kept chasing me and chasing me,,,,,,,,,finally my husband walked in the room and started talking to me,,,,I WAS SO THANKFUL! Anyway,,,,I was in bed all day! Now it is 2 a.m. and I am not really sleepy! My head feels "sloshy" but that is from this cold that I have,,,, Anyway, I have got to get back to NORMAL,,,,,,We have Church on Sunday! and I have to go back to work on Monday!

OK, I have this problem,,,,,
My dryer is making this noise,,,,,it has made this noise before, we know what the problem is and my Husband can fix it.
I barely even notice the noise.
My husband, on the other hand, says he cant stand the noise! It grates on his nerves!

So here are my choices,,,,,
Can I tolerate his "whining"? ~~it grates on MY nerves~~
Do I keep on doing laundry?
OR
Do I let the laundry pile up to the ceiling because the "noise" bothers him?

Ahhhhhh,,,,,,
Another night of Chaos and Confusion,,,,,,,

This Remodel sure has been an experience! I could share some "nightmare" stories.
But the truth is, the other stores in my District that have been through this process,,,,They have "nightmare" stories of their own!
So I realize, I am not alone!!

Construction crews dont know what they are doing,,,,,,oh, they are skilled at what they do, but someone up the ladder has DROPPED THE BALL!!! They havent passed along the necessary information in order to get the job done!!! I actually feel bad for the construction crews,,,,,they are lost! The right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing!
No Communication! The whole project has been handled in such an UNPROFESSSIONAL way! Everything is up in the air,,,,,Everything is CHAOS!
Including MY life AND MY schedule!

A fellow Manager told me that when we go through our remodel it would bring me closer to the LORD,,,,,,LOL
She was sooooooo right!!!

Maybe just a few more nights and this will all be behind us!!!!

Back to the Night Shift,,,,,,,

Well, I had a little bit of a "break" from working nights and now I am back!
Tonight is my first night and I really am not prepared!!!
I was off Saturday. But I woke up at 830a.m. and I was wide awake and ready to get up!
and I WAS NOT able to take a nap that afternoon,,,,just ran out of time!
SO that night I fell in the bed and slept like a baby!
Today is Sunday,,,,,so I went to Church, and I had a VERY SHORT afternoon nap!
Went back to Church tonight, got something to eat, then had to be at work at Nine P.M.

Tonight they are installing new phones,,,,,they also have to be "programmed",,,,,
At first I was told this would only take a couple of hours~~~when they say that, Dont hold your breath!!~~~ Now he is telling me it might be 3 or 4 A.M. before I get out of here!!
UGH!

and guess what? I am sleepy! I am yawning already! and it is ONLY midnight!
Its OK, I will survive!

Tomorrow night they start on the flooring.
You know when I had to work nights before,,,,,,I learned that I dont do so well working the night shift! I felt like a ZOMBIE! and I felt sick all of the time!
and I was ILL all of the time! and I am just not like that normally!!!
I need to say I'm sorry to my husband and my daughter! I was NOT very NICE when I was "off schedule"!!!
and my daughter, Bless Her Heart,,,,She is SO SWEET! She tries SOOOOO hard to help me anytime, ALL THE TIME! If I am sick, If I am tired, she is willing to do anything and everything I need or want her to do! She SO wants to help me and please me! She has the BEST attitude and disposition! Such a sweet girl! Such a great heart!

Well, I guess I have learned that I can only take about three nights of "night-shift' and then I am ready for a break!
Last week the remodel crew ~~and I~~ worked Tues night, Wed night, Thurs night. Then we took Fri and Sat off.
This week we have worked Sun night, Mon night, Tues night and they have to order more flooring so probably wont be back till next week!
and today I am WORN OUT!!! I have slept off and on for about 11 hours!!!
I was kind of upset that they have to stop right here in the middle because the office is a MESS!!! SO my employees have to straighten it up the best they can so they can tear it all apart again next week!!!
But on the other hand, I am obviously ready for a break!!!
SO TIRED! I feel like a ZOMBIE! My body feels NUMB! My brain feel like MUSH!

ANIMALS,,,,,,Love em, Hate em

If you know me, You know I really LOVE animals.
I LOVE to watch TV shows about animals!
I love to learn about animals.
I love to "help" animals.
Tonight on my way to work, I saw a big wild HOG crossing the road in front of me! That is RARE! and actually in all the years I have lived in GA I have only seen that twice!
Then I drove on down the road a little further and I counted about 10 deer in a field,,,,went a little further and saw several more deer,,,,,
I LOVE IT!

but then I got a phone call from my husband and he found a snake in our house!!
now I am not scared to death of a snake,,,,,but I realize they can be a danger,,,,,,
A rattlesnake killed my first wiener dog.
So when you have children and pets you have a fear/respect for some animals because you know how dangerous they can be.
I love animals but I am NOT thrilled about having a SNAKE "IN" my house!!!!!

By the way,,,,,my husband said this particular snake is NOT a rattlesnake,,,,maybe a "rat" snake,,,,about a foot long,,,,,AND he lost track of it! It got away from him!

I am at work right now,,,,,and NOT in a big hurry to get home!! It doesnt bother me so much if I see a snake out in the open,,,,,,but I dont like NOT KNOWING where it is!!! I dont want to be sitting there at the table and feel something slither across my foot!

Something that I constantly deal with in my life,,,,,and I guess everyone does in some way or another,,,,,,is TIME!
I know, I hear people talk about it all the time and how it flies by and Jan. turns into Dec. and Morning turns into night and a day turns into a year before you know it,,,,,
But REALLY, for me time just goes by way too fast and I have felt that way since I was in my twenties! I mean, sometimes I think maybe I am being punished or I am reaping from something that I sowed a long time ago,,,,,Time shouldnt fly by this fast! Maybe since I dont always use my time very wisely,,,,,maybe I am paying for that! ?????
Right now I am working a totally different schedule than I am used to.
I am working from 9pm to 7am Sun. thru Thurs.
The office where I work is being remodeled and I have to be there each night to "babysit".
So during that time it does seem like time slows down just a bit. But when I am off work, it FLIES by again!
Seems like I work, sleep, eat,,,,,,over and over and over again,,,,,,and thats all I get to do!
My daughter is growing too fast! She is only 9 years old. She even says she feels like time goes by too fast. I certainly didnt feel that way when I was 9!!!!!
I guess like alot of things, it is just a frame of mind. Maybe it's all in my head!

I look forward to the day when time wont matter anymore!

Hummingbirds

I have been a Birdwatcher for years. Today I saw something I have never seen. I have read about it but I have never seen it!
Hummingbirds in a state of "torpor."
It is a "state of hibernation."
I am a little confused because everything I have read about it says it happens at night????
I saw more than one hummingbird do this today,,,,,,I told my daughter maybe its because
it is SO HOT outside!?? I dont know??
During this state of torpor, their body temperature drops.
Here's what it looked like.
The hummingbird was sitting on the feeder. It would arch its neck back and put its beak up in the air. The hummers feathers were all fluffed up and its body was shaking and its mouth was open. I wanted to get a picture,,,,,but everytime I would try to ease over to the window, the hummer would "come to" and fly off!
But anyway,,,,,,it was very interesting! and I was very excited since I never saw it before!

Apalachicola Bay

While we were in St. George, My husband kept talking about going to the Bay to do some fishing and some "crabbing".
So one evening we drove down to the Bay.
It is quite different from the "beach/ocean" side of the island.
There were lots of shells and they were different shells than the shells that were on the beach side! So of course, I started picking them up and filling my pockets!
Some looked like Big snail shells. Some were conch shells!
Plus I got to see a conch,,,,the real thing, NOT just the shell!!! I got to hold it and touch it!! That was COOL!

So anyway,,,,,,that was fun and we head back to the house. We go upstairs to the kitchen/living room area. I go to the sink and I start emptying my pockets and cleaning my shells! Then I go about my business,,,,,at this point we are getting ready to play Dominoes!
All of the sudden we start hearing strange noises coming from the sink area!
Guess what! All those shells I collected?? They have hermit crabs inside them! Slowly each one of them makes its way to the floor or to the sink! LOL We all got a kick out of that! I collected probably 12 to 16 shells,,,,,Every single one of them had a hermit crab inside!!!!
LOL
So funny!
Needless to say, we returned them to their home in the Bay the next day!!! :-)

Our Family Vacation

Since I have been home from vacation, I have wanted to "blog"! I have had several things I would like to write about,,,,,,I really just havent taken the time to sit and do that!

Vacation was GREAT! The Beach was BEAUTIFUL!
Before we headed to the Beach, We got a new Puppy! Of course, he's a miniature wiener dog! I really wanted a new puppy, but I kind of wanted to wait till AFTER our vacation! But it worked out GREAT! We named him Peanut. While we were in St. George, he was a SWEETHEART! I would take him down to the beach with me. He would ride in my beach bag,,,,,LOL. Whatever we did, wherever we went, he was perfectly content.

We stayed in a Beautiful House! It was 3 levels. 4 Bedrooms. It had its own private pool! That was Awesome!!!!

We practically lived at the beach or at the pool. So of course I got sunburned!! But thats ok too. I wasnt totally miserable. I was able to sleep at night, I was able to enjoy myself!

My Mom and my sister, Stacie and I spent one whole day in Apalachicola shopping! That was nice,,,,Lots of FUN!

At night we would all sit around the dining room table and play Mexican Train Dominoes. Great Fun! Great Memories!

and we had Great food the whole time! From what I've heard and read, Apalachicola is known for its OYSTERS! So, YES we had oysters while we were there!!! I like them raw,,,But I chose to eat them Baked with Parmesan Cheese on them! YUM!!

I have a couple of stories I want to tell,,,,I will do that in a separate post.

For the last week or so I have been watching these two doves in my back yard.
They are not adults,,,,,they are still babies!
They are ALWAYS together! You never see them apart!

I have lived in Georgia for 15 years and almost that whole time I have complained because I never see "rabbits"!! I see armadillos, raccoons, foxes, bobcats,,,,,,I never see rabbits!

Well, let me say, THIS WEEK, I have seen more rabbits than the whole time I have lived here!!
I saw this rabbit in my yard today! I was excited and upset all at once......my dogs are going to get that rabbit!!! :-(
They kill armadillos all the time!
I watched him for a little bit and took a couple of pictures,,,,I went back a few minutes later to look again and he was gone,,,,so hopefully, he heard the dogs barking and maybe he left for good!
Anyway, Last night I saw rabbits on my way home from work. My husband and I took an evening ride and I saw some rabbits then.........and I see this cute little guy today! I love it!

well, tomorrow it's BACK TO WORK I GO,,,,,
I have had 7 days off and it has been NICE!
Wed. thru Sat. I worked SO HARD! Then Sat. night we had our Church Party here at the house. It was Nice! We had a Great time! I think there was around 21 people here.
I said, You work three days for a three hour party,,,,,,LOL
But it was worth it!

I did all that work and so yesterday and today I have been SO LAZY! Yesterday I did NOTHING! Today I did a little bit around here,,,,,,a VERY little bit!

Tonight we had a WMU meeting at Church. We had a Guest Speaker from WMU GA Baptist Convention. Her name is Beth Ann Williams. Such a GOOD meeting! It's always good to hear of ways we can make a difference for God's Kingdom!!!

I have enjoyed my time off! Spent time with my family. Spent time with my Church Family. I spent some time watching birds,,,,,,,I have learned that we have several nests around here with baby birds in them!!!! I got to watch the hummingbirds!!! I got some much needed rest!
Now its back to work,,,,,,but thats OK! We have a busy summer ahead of us! and only 31 days till our BIG FAMILY VACATION!!! We are all so excited!!

Time Off

We are having a Church Party at our house,,,,,
I have been CLEANING for 3 days!! lol
I havent watched TV, I havent been on the computer,,,,,,
I HAVE been sleeping in a little tho! I havent been setting my alarm clock.
To me, thats really being on vacation!!
It's hard work now,,,,but thats OK,,,,,,the Party will be great!
and I am getting SO much done!! My husband is helping me, My daughter is helping me.......
We have thrown SO much away!!! We have boxed up alot to give to charity,,,,,,,,
Whether we were having a party or not, it still needed to be done!
It will be SO WORTH IT when we are finished!
Well, as my daughter said yesterday, "Back to the old grind!"

MOCKINGBIRD Babies, that is,,,,,
The mockingbirds built a nest in our Snowball bush.
This is the 3rd or 4th year in a row.
Chris said "Well, Steph is a MAMA again."
I worry every year that the dogs will get the babies when they leave the nest,,,,,,That hasnt happened so far!!!!!
A couple years, I had the honor and privilege to WATCH them leave the nest!!! I got to take some pictures too!!! Here is one that I took last year!

My Day Off

Well I am at home today,,,,,,and I LOVE IT!
I was standing at my Kitchen Sink, doing some dishes, looking out my Kitchen window,,,,,
I saw a bird I didnt really recognize,,,,,I thought it kind of looked like a Towhee but I wasnt really SURE. So I looked it up online,,,,,,My Favorite Website: enature.com!! and sure enough I was RIGHT! Thats what it was!!! Very pretty! I will attach a picture,,,,,

Later on, I walked outside and sat in my chair under a shade tree,,,,,,It's a breezy, sunny day,,,,,very nice!
Reminded me of how Blessed we are! It is Beautiful out here where we live! I really "miss" it sometimes,,,,I cant really sit and enjoy it all like I would like to! Just too busy,,,,,,,,,,
But I will enjoy it TODAY!

This week has been LONG for me,,,,,I dont really know why???
I do know I have been really, REALLY tired this week.
I mean just SO Sleepy everyday this week!!!
I dont know what is wrong with me!!!!
I have been trying to "eat right" and exercise,,,,
My husband says I have no energy and it's because I have been "dieting."
He bought me some vitamins,,,,,,
Thankfully, I got to "sleep-in" this morning!!!!!
I had to work my day off this week,,,,,,,so I am going in "late" today, just to "close" the store.
So maybe thats all I needed,,,,,Just some "extra" sleep!

Dream

The other night I had one of my crazy dreams,,,,,,
I woke up with tears in my eyes.

The dream started with our dog, Buddy. He's a German Shepherd.
I cant remember every detail of the dream,,,,,,,
But I remember I walked out on the porch and there was Buddy.
There was also a Doberman out there. They were getting ready to fight.
They were "posturing" and staring each other down.
Next thing I know, I have a little dog on my lap,,,,,,he is in my face,
he is barking, he is excited, he is licking my face. I am laughing and calling him Woody.
and my daughter keeps saying, "Mama, thats not Woody!"
I finally stopped and looked at the dog and it was a Jack Russel Terrier,,,,
NOT Woody!
I woke up with tears in my eyes,,,,,
SO Crazy!!!

I have been doing very well,,,,,Not getting too upset over Woody,,,,,,,Trying to think Happy thoughts.
But it hit me tonight Unexpecedly.
Chris and I were listening to a song,,,,,,It was actually a song about "Mother",,,,,,,,,
At the end of the song, it's about Mama dying and "I didnt get to say Good-Bye"
and immediately tears came to my eyes,,,,
I didnt get to say Good Bye to Woody.
Your mind can think up such CRAZY things!
I wondered if at the time of his death, he was wondering where "I" was????
JUST CRAZINESS!!!

I told myself to just STOP IT!!!!!
I hate that there is sadness in the world,,,,,,
But I went to the BIBLE,,,,,,,

Last night or maybe it was Monday night???
I got to talk to my parents on the phone!
I hadnt talked to them since the "accident". They KNEW about it thru emails,,,,

Mom and I were talking about past experiences with pet loss,,,,
Mom told me about when they had to have a beloved pet put down and Mom cried and cried.
She said she almost felt guilty because this wasnt the loss of a daughter, it wasnt the loss of her husband.....
Dad spoke up and said "But it still hurt."
Then I talked about how we know people who are having serious problems,,,,Financial Problems, Health Problems, the loss of family members,,,,I said I feel so bad for them. It seems almost silly to be so upset over the loss of one little dog!
Dad spoke up and said "But it still hurts!"

and he is so right!

I dread going to bed,,,,,but I am soooo tired! I cant hold my eyes open!

I am so sad,,,,,,
Last WED. on my day off,,,,,,I wasnt having a very good day, I wasnt feeling well, I slept alot that day,,,,and Woody was here with me ALL day,,,,
It is a week later,,,,,Woody is gone.
I am going to do my best to make it through this day!
I have lots to do to keep me busy,,,,,,I just dont feel like doing much!
I am depressed.
It's amazing to me how well I did the first few days after the accident,,,,,,,
I guess it wasnt "real" to me yet.
Now it is VERY REAL!

If I wasnt at work,,,,,,Woody and I were TOGETHER!
Robbin would be at school, Chris would be gone, I would be at home WITH WOODY!
He was my Best Companion!
He was ALWAYS so happy to see me! and I was ALWAYS so happy to see him!

I apologize to those of you out there who read my blog,,,,,,,
I just need to be pitiful for awhile,,,,,,
I just need to be sad,,,,,,,,,
So my blog might be depressing for awhile!!!

Like I said before, we've had so much love and concern and support from our family and friends through this tragedy we are going through,,,,,,,
I wanted to post this text message I received from my sister,,,,,Of course, when I read it, I cried my eyes out,,,,,,but before I delete it out of my phone I want to post it here,,,,,,,I dont ever want to forget what she said.

You see, my sister loves animals, she loves dogs just like I do. She and her husband recently had to have their "senior" pug dog put to sleep,,,,,,and of course for them, that was like losing a child. She understands completely what we are going through right now,,,,,

This is what she wrote to me:
She was talking about how she knows this is so painful and if she could make it all better, she would,
"But now Woody is playing and running with Samson. Samson will take good care of him. Jesus will yake good care of them 'til we get there."

I have been without my WOODY dog for 3 nights ,,,,,,I am ready to have him back now!
Instead of getting better each day,,,,,I am sadder each day.
I miss him SO very much!
Maybe it's because of my FAITH, Maybe it is because of my family and friends, but I have been strangely STRONG thru this whole thing so far.
It may be because I feel like I need to stay strong for MY FAMILY! It was a horrible tragedy they had to go through....I wasnt here for all that!
My husband is beating himself up, he is feeling so guilty!

I just know that I left the house around 12 noon, Woody was here.
I came home from work that evening, Woody was gone.

Last night, I went to bed,,,,,,and I thought about how I used to get into bed and I would lay there for a few minutes and I would hear the pitter-patter of little feet,,,,,,and then Woody would jump up on the bed, he would stick his pointy nose under the edge of the covers, he would crawl under the covers, and he would get nice and comfy and lay down beside me. Thats where he would stay all night long!

Anyway,,,,,I have been through this before,,,,,,,The pain will pass. I guess the night my husband called me and told me, thats when I cried all my tears,,,,,,Dont get me wrong, we are all still heartbroken! I MISS HIM VERY MUCH! I just seem to be "handling" it better than some of my past "pet losses"!

My Sweet WOODY! I took this picture yesterday,,,,
Tonight, he is no longer with us.
I feel like there is a HOLE in my HEART!
Woody was about 6 or 7 years old,,,,,,,That is the longest I have ever had a dog!!
Woody followed me everywhere!
If I was on the couch, that's where he was,,,,,
If I was in the Bathroom, that's where he was!
If I went outside, he wanted to go outside too!
Oh how I will miss him,,,,,,the next few days will be so hard!
We are taking a BIG FAMILY VACATION this year and he was going to go with us!
After all, he was part of the family!
Anyway,,,,,this isnt the first time I have been through this,,,,,I WILL SURVIVE!
I will just be "tremendously sad" for awhile. ~~those are the words of my daughter~~
Like I said, I have been through this before,,,,and beacuse of that there were so many times I would look at Woody or I would hug Woody and I would think, "I know you arent going to be with me forever. So I am going to enjoy this moment."

Right now I want to stop and say a prayer for my husband and my daughter,,,,
They are very upset. We are all in this together.

Woody, I am so sorry this had to happen. You know I love you.

Another Day Off

Yes another day off and I am totally worthless today!!
I see my last entry,,,,,,it was also my day off and I was so productive! I got so much done!!!

We have kind of "let things go" around here the last couple of years,,,,
So My husband and I are trying to get some work done around the house
INSIDE and OUTSIDE.
Last night we brought our patio-table and chairs into our screened-in porch ~~They have been sitting out in the yard~~Anyway, it is nice to have it in here on the porch! It is a Beautiful Day and I am sitting here with my laptop! NICE!
I am watching a couple of mockingbirds, I cant tell if they are building a nest in the Pampass Grass or in the Snowball Bush,,,,,Maybe they are trying to decide which spot would be best??
Behind me, Out there in the woods, I keep hearing a Bird that I dont recognize,,,,,,I can hear it but I cant see it!

I guess I am just EXtra tired today,,,,,,,
I often times wonder, What is it like to NOT be on a schedule??
The funny thing is, I actually KNOW several people who are not on a daily schedule! These people are either retired, or they have quit their job or they have been laid off from their job, or they are home on disability,,,,,,,,,,
and I just wonder what that is like???
My MOM retired this year and I have been thinking about her alot. She has worked her whole life! and even when she wasnt working or maybe she was just working part time and staying home with kids,,,,,she was still on a SCHEDULE!
I do remember one time in my life when I wasnt on a schedule,,,,,,,,It was when I had our daughter. I took some time off and then for a period of time, I only worked part time,,,,,,,but because Robbin was just a baby, I was still on a schedule!
I cant say I am jealous or envious,,,,,,,I just wonder what it is like?????
In July when we go on vacation, I will get a little taste of what it is like for about a week or so,,,,,,and it will go by SO SO FAST!

I had such a HUGE Blessing this week,,,,,,,Just a small event that was a Great JOY to me.
For me, it doesnt take much! =o)
Wednesday evening, I left work and headed out of town to go to Church,,,,
There is a house I pass by everyday that has horses.
I noticed a horse standing close to the fence. On the ground I saw a small, small foal.....motionless. Well, if you know anything about me, you know that bothered me,,,,,I worried about it,,,,,I wondered if the owners knew what was going on here????
But I went on to Church and I didnt think about it anymore. I put it out of my mind.
The next day, around lunchtime I was headed to town. I saw a Glorious sight! There was mother and foal running together through the grass!!!! How Sweet!
I just LOVE little things like that!
I love to see a flock of geese or cranes in flight.... and I LOVE the sound!....
I love to see cattle grazing in a field.
I love to see dogs laying in a yard in the sun.

I could go on and on,,,,,
and you know, to me it is sad that there are SOOOOOOOOO many people who dont find joy in such things......
Unfortunately, there are many, many people who dont even NOTICE such things!

We have supper with some dear friends.
We come home and play Super Mario Brothers on wii.
We make blueberry muffins.
Now we are watching a movie together.
Tonight we have laughed together,,,we have been silly together,,,,,

This is what makes it ALL WORTH WHILE!
When I've had a bad day or a bad week,,,,,,My daughter can make it all better!
Coming home to my little dog, Woody---He makes me feel better!!
My husband can make me feel better too,,,,It just so happens he is in Russia on a Mission Trip right now,,,,
The Lord has blessed me in so many ways!

An email "friend" of mine who has been through ALOT the last several months just said this today and I LOVE IT!!! "God sees the BIG PICTURE! I only see bits and pieces..."
We must trust in HIM completely!

Winter Wonderland

A real quick post......

I have lived in Georgia for 15 years,,,,,
Yesterday was the first time I EVER remember seeing snow on the ground! We had about an inch or so, My husband says 3 inches,,,,,I dont know for sure really??,,,,
My daughter is 9 years old and when I was pregnant with her I remember seeing some snow flurries,,,,We were at a Mall and people were running around like crazy! People were on their cell phones telling all their friends and family that it was SNOWING!!! I am from Illinois, so I thought this scene was SO Crazy! But the snow didnt last long. No Accumulation.
Yesterday, we had a REAL SNOW STORM! It started with rain then sleet then snow!
It was so worth it just getting to see it through the eyes of my daughter!!! She was so giddy! She kept saying "Its snowing, Its snowing, Its snowing" So we had a snowball fight and we made a snowman! and my husband took lots of pictures with his phone!!!
This morning when we got up, the snow was almost all gone,,,,,,,By lunchtime it was completely Gone! My daughter was sad,,,,,
It may be years and years before we see any again! It was FUN while it lasted!

I wanted to write this last night,,,,,but I was just too tired,,,,,,,I wasnt on the computer very much last night.
Yesterday was TOUGH! This time of the year is when we get BUSY at work. Thats OK! I LIKE to be BUSY at work! But yesterday was more than just "busy"-----everything was complicated. Yesterday was STRESSFUL! You try to help people, they come to you with problems and you want to try to solve the problems, so you offer a solution, they come back with something negative. You offer another solution, they come back with a reason that wont work,,,,,,,you get to a point where you feel like you are hitting your head against a brick wall!!! anyway,,, I was in tears by the time I got home. and ACTUALLY, when I got in my van to come home-- I heard this song and I broke down!
We had a WONDERFUL Day at Church on Sunday,,,,,,and then on Monday, I felt defeated! so I heard this song and I had to be reminded,,,,,,,,,Even after a Wonderful Spirit Filled Sunday, I had to be reminded!

Pine Warbler

I have been home sick a couple of days,,,,,,
I have been able to watch some "bird" activity in my yard! =o)
The last few days, about mid afternoon, I can go look out my kitchen window and I will see at least 12 or 16 little yellow birds all over my yard!
I thought they were pine warblers, but I wanted to be sure. So I looked them up online~~
Sure enough Thats what they are!
So PRETTY! Their song is pretty too!

There have been so many things I've wanted to write about this season,,,,
But as USUAL, time flies by!!

We had a nice Christmas!
My daughter is 8 years old,,,,,she struggled a little bit this year with whether to still believe in SANTA or not! It took some imagination and creativity on our part, but She Still Believes! She informed ME that the kids in the fourth grade DO NOT BELIEVE in Santa! lol
Anyway, It makes me a little melancholy,,,She is growing up FAST!

Before Christmas I was able to take some time off and we went to St. Augustine for a few days! That was NICE!

We had a NICE Christmas Party at work. We had a Wonderful Christmas Eve Service at Church~~Candlelight and Communion~~very Special, very Spiritual!

I worked Christmas Eve but I was off Yesterday and Today!
~~New Years Eve and New Years Day~~
Yesterday I actually did some Birdwatching! YAY! In a short period of time I saw bluebirds, chickadees, a titmouse, a kingbird......
I was so excited! I never get to do that anymore!
Then last night we had dinner with good friends!
We came home and Chris and Robbin and I celebrated the New Year!
Just the three of us as a family!
I hate to admit it,,,,,but just a year ago, I was upset, depressed, crying over our finances,,,,,and this year GOD has blessed us over and over and over again! We have had a GREAT Year! Not just financially but it so many ways!! I pray that 2010 will be even better and I have faith that it will be!

We just got back from the beach. I dont know if I've ever been to the beach in December??
It was pretty chilly there! Thursday was nice,,,,we arrived in the afternoon and went straight to the beach! The water was too cold to swim but we walked up and down the beach and my daughter and I picked up shells. Friday it rained all day, and the water was so rough! The waves were so powerful! I understand what it means when someone says the ocean was "angry". Saturday morning we got up and I told my daughter we would walk on the beach some since it was our last day there,,,,,well, it was too cold to do that! The temperatures were in the 40's!!!
But it's OK! I loved it! I loved that we were able to get away for a few days! and I LOVE the OCEAN!

My time off has been SO nice!! I've accomplished quite a bit,,,,but I've also been able to RELAX!

My daughter is 8 years old now,,,, Since she was born, I have grown to love her more and more each year! We have so much fun together! We are silly together! We make each other laugh!
Tonight I sat at the piano and played Christmas carols and she sang along! She loves music! She loves to sing! and I love to play for her and listen to her!

Saturday she tested for her next BELT in TAE WON DO! That was fun! She did a GREAT job! She takes it seriously! Her Dad and I were impressed with her performance!

She is growing up FAST, but I love her more and more! NOW, more than EVER!
