Kind of sad,,,,,,,

You may know this about me, you may not,,,,,,,,I LOVE BIRDS!
I love to watch birds, I love to read about birds,,,,,,,I just think they are amazing creatures!

Yesterday afternoon my daughter was playing outside. She came running to me to tell me that Buddy(our German Shepherd) was chasing a bird! I kind of shrugged it off,,,,,,,"well, thats OK, he'll never catch one!"

This morning when I got up to let our little dog out,,,,,,,I saw Buddy in the yard and he was playing with something. I went to see what it was. It was a little Sparrow! I made Buddy get away from it so I could "discard" the remains. I walked over to it and it was still breathing! I picked it up, I went inside and got a towel and a pretty large box. I put the towel in the box and laid the bird on the towel. At first, things just didnt look good. The little bird was "out of it". So we proceeded to get ready for work and school and I went to look at the bird and it was alert! Looking all around!
SO I took the box to the backyard (which is fenced in) and I sat it up under some shrubs. The dogs coudnt get in there and it would be shaded and protected.(btw, the box had no top on it, it was all open!)
All day I thought about that poor little bird! I KNEW the chances werent good!
But I was still anxious to come home and see about it,,,,,,,just in case,,,,,,,,,,

Robbin and I came home. The poor little bird had tried to move around in the box,,,,,,,But it didnt make it. It was sad,,,,,,,but I was pretty proud of myself! NO TEARS!

You know some people could care less about sparrows,,,,,,People who call themselves Bird Lovers! I am not picky,,,,,,I love them ALL!

I always think of the verse in the BIBLE........(and I LOVE that song: "His Eye is On The Sparrow"!!!)
LUKE 12: 6-7 "Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins?" And not one of them is forgotten before GOD. But the very hairs of your head are numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
