It's 10:00 at night and My daughter and I just spent some time together outside listening to a Mama Owl and a Baby Owl talking to each other. I enjoyed that so much! I tried to see them in the trees but never could find them. They are Barred Owls. I love to listen to them. I found this picture online of a Mama and a Baby,,,,,I thought it was sweet. Wish I could take a picture like that! Love it!!! I Love living in the country!

Mystery Solved

For years I have been trying to figure out what animal makes a particular sound I hear only at night.
I've researched it and researched it and thanks to this website:

I now know the answer!! The strange sound I have been hearing is from baby barred owls.
I figured it was some type of baby bird but I wasnt sure what kind.
I get to hear the adults "sing" all year long,,,,and in the Spring I get to hear the babies. :)
