Enough excitement for one day,,,,,,

One day last week I killed a snake in our garage. There was a time when I would've felt really bad about that,,,,,and Maybe couldn't have done it!
I am an Animal Lover, sometimes I can be a little extreme,,,,,,
THAT is something I have to work on daily!!! I can have more compassion for animals than I can for people sometimes!!! Pretty sad, huh??
But anyway,,,,Once upon a time, I had a little Dachshund that I LOVED!!! His name was ANDY and he was killed by a rattlesnake!
I have three dogs now, and I love them more than ANY SNAKE!!
I heard them in the garage just going CRAZY!!!! SO I ran out there and saw this snake,,,,,It is a Plain-Bellied Water Snake.
We have alot of these around our house!
One of my MOST FAVORITE websites is www.enature.com! It is WONDERFUL for identifying different species!This is not the first one that I've killed in our yard, so I have read about them before!
One thing in the description bothered me:
Warning All water snakes in the genus Nerodia will bite if harassed. The Plain-bellied will bite repeatedly and may secrete a malodorous musk. Its bite is not venomous.

SO I got the dogs away from it, I killed it with a hoe,,,,
That was my excitement for that day!
