Night Owl and a Confession

I am a Night Owl! I am NOT a morning person! I LOVE to stay up late and get up late in the morning,,,,,Problem is I've ALWAYS had a job where I have to get up early! Now I have a daughter,,,,,I have to get up early, get her to school, and get myself to work! So UNFORTUNATELY what happens is,,,,,,I ALWAYS stay up way to late!!!!!! and I am ALWAYS miserable in the morning!!! and it's my OWN fault!
Now, what I USED to do years ago,,,,,before my daughter was born,,,,,,is I would stay up till 1:00 or 2:00a.m. every night,,,,and I would get up around 7:30 a.m. and go to work! Then my daughter was born and I was usually tired and ready to go to bed by no later then 11:00 or 11:30!!!
Well now my daughter is 8,,,,,,,and I have a confession,,,,,
I am ADDICTED to a COMPUTER GAME!!!! I havent REALLY played computer games in years!NOT on a regular basis anyway! I just havent had the time, and I havent been that interested in them anyway,,,,,,, But now, I am back to my OLD ways,,,,staying up till 1:00 or 2:00a.m. EVERY NIGHT!! I keep thinking one of these nights I will get tired of the game and I wont care about it anymore,,,,,,but that just hasnt happened yet!
and I just dont get it! The game isnt THAT Spectacular!!!!! It really isnt!!!
It is at Worldwinner.com and it is called ZEN GEMS! The first couple of times I played it, I didnt REALLY understand how the game worked, but I was interested in it so I kept at it! NOW I CANT STOP PLAYING!!!!! UGH!!!
How did this happen????????
(LOL)

(btw, I found the picture at enature.com,,,,,one of my ALL-TIME-Favorite websites!
I LOVE IT! This is a Northern Saw-whet Owl,,,very small! We dont have these in south Georgia! Very Pretty!)

This post makes me smile. I too have always been a night owl. Many moons ago (since 1981) I have been working nights. It worked well in the early days, I worked 11pm-7am. My children were small and I worked while they slept (daddy was at home), they went to daycare or school during the day while I slept and then we had all evenings together all the time. They went to bed and I went to work.

Then 12 hour shifts happened in nursing and that made things a little more challenging but still doable.

Now I've been doing nights for so very long it has taken it's toll on me physically, but I find I cannot do day shift. You just gotta find a schedule that works for your family and stick to it.

Didn't mean to write a book here...but I related so much to your post.

I also enjoy (ok..somewhat addicted) computer games. Just seems they make you forget whatever kind of bad day you've had and focus on just the game and relax.

At least that's my excuse! Ha!

Blessings...and get some rest now ya hear!
